Global diasporans visited Ghana last month for the ultimate "Detty December." December in Ghana always sparks a rebirth, with art exhibitions, holiday parties, and music festivals spread around Accra, the capital. Some of the hottest musical stars of our generation performed at AfroNation, Chance the Rapper's Black Star Line Festival, and Afrochella this year 2022/2023 , and the crowd's fashion sense was on point.

This year's Afrochella was it's second year since its comeback (after the Covid-19 lockdown), Afrochella returned with a newfound vitality and theme "Afrofuturism." Indigenous people's traditional performances and cultural displays from Sihene, a Ghanaian art and culture archive, welcomed the throng. Everything in terms of music was excellent: Nigerian superstar Ayra Starr, Burna Boy, Stonebwoy, Fireboy DML, and others took the stage to excite the audience with music.
